Brand Story
Deep in the Gaoligong Mountains, we protect a pristine coffee estate.

Origin: The Journey of a Seed
A single coffee seed crossed mountains and seas to take root on the eastern slopes of Gaoligong Mountain. Over 70 years of wind and rain, it has given rise to the rich aroma of Baoshan Arabica—a testament to the land's gifts and the perseverance of its people. In the late Qing Dynasty and Republic era, overseas Chinese leader Liang Jinshan brought coffee saplings back from Southeast Asia and began planting them sporadically in Baoshan, sowing the seeds of future fragrance. In 1952, Arabica small-grain coffee was introduced for trial planting in Lujiang Dam, marking the start of large-scale cultivation. In 1958, "Lujiang No. 1" received a first-class award at the London International Coffee Competition, introducing the world to the scent of Chinese coffee. Through storms and challenges, many coffee plantations were cleared in the 1970s and 80s. Only villages above 1400 meters on Gaoligong Mountain preserved the Typica coffee planted 1976 years ago—the original ancestor of cloud-grown beans.
Over 70 years, from a sapling in a foreign land to the revival of premium coffee, every Baoshan coffee seed embodies dedication and passion, and every aroma is a gift from this land.
Origin: A Gift from the Gaoligong Mountains
The Gaoligong Mountains in western Yunnan are a UNESCO-recognized "World Biosphere Reserve." With elevations ranging from 900 to 1500 meters, an average annual temperature of 16-18°C, significant day-night temperature variations, and frequent mist and clouds, the region offers ideal conditions for coffee cultivation.
Rich volcanic soil, pure mountain spring water, abundant sunshine, and the careful stewardship of our multi-generational farming partners come together to produce Yunnan's high-altitude coffee with a distinct flavor. Every bean carries the essence of this land and the taste of its sun.
